To say it rained the day Jenny & Mitch got married would be sorta like saying there was some chocolate in Willy Wonka’s work place. It rained, it poured, it streamed, it flooded. But, brides who worry about what will happen on your wedding day if it rains – hopefully this collection will help assure you that it really won’t matter in the end, your wedding day will be beautiful, momentous, & glorious whether the sun shines or not 🙂 Jenny and Mitch held their intimate wedding at Hampton Estates in Gainesville, GA. Jenny handled the monsoon-esque weather like a real trooper – no meltdowns, no wailing or tears; the only tears shed were during emotional moments she shared with family members & friends who came to greet her before the ceremony. And I cannot say enough about Mitch’s superlative groomsmen! These guys not only got out in the relentless downpour with 5 gallon buckets & worked their butts off scooping, bailing and re-directing the miniature rivers of water away from the ceremony site, they did it cheerfully & without complaining. Stellar.
As if that weren’t enough, the entire wedding party was simply electric with charm, energy & plain ole fun weirdness which, as every photographer knows, is the recipe for amazing photos 🙂 Hope you all enjoy these as much as I did. (Special thanks to my assistant for the day, April Owens , for her awesome images)
When Jenny’s dad saw her in her dress….
Jenny & her nephews….
Mitch’s brothers had this whole visual aid thing for their toast to the couple; it went through different qualities & how Mitch had displayed these throughout his life (many typical, brotherly laughs thrown in!). The last card simply read, “Jenny”.
